Taylor Swift has kicked off the start of her next musical era with a pastel-colored performance of her new upbeat single "ME!" at the Billboard Music Awards.

Taylor Swift is one of the singers that faces the most backlash from her creative decisions with nearly everything bound to get a negative reaction out of her haters.

The Billboard Music Awards 2019 that was held at Las Vegas, Nevada was star-studded affair. They were literally licking each other's faces on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet.

Bestowed upon by the Billboard, nominations for these awards are determined on the basis of sales of album & digital songs, streaming, radio airplay, tours, and social engagement.

BTS was also having a major night.

The group thanked their fans (ARMY) for the award and frontman RM was in disbelief that they "were here on this stage" along with so many great artists.

He went on to say: "We're still the same boys from six years ago, we still have the same dreams, we still have the same fears, we still have the same thoughts". Let us know in the comments section below. Julianne was seated right in the middle of Paula Abdul's epic performance to close the show, and when the legendary singer threw her hat away to focus on her dancing...she hit Julianne right in the throat.

BTS became the first K-Pop act to win top duo/group.

Madonna and Maluma performed their new collaboration, "Medellín", incorporating augmented reality using motion capture technology.

The blackout suggests something new is coming from Halsey soon, and that attractive performance of "Without Me" seems like a great way to move forward into a new era.

Dabbing her eyes with tissue during her speech, she shouted out to her children in the crowd.

"THIS WAS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FUN POSSIBLE", she wrote on Twitter.

"Well, Maroon 5 ain't here, but I am", she said (via Entertainment Tonight). But, and this is the truth, I did believe because I had to.

Cardi B, Drake, Grande, Post Malone and Travis Scott are nominated for the biggest award of the night, Top Artist.

Then, two days later, X's 17 album won him another posthumous trophy at the 2018 American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B Album.
