  • Stunning Early Bird Offers in April 2019 Budget Friendly Smartphones and Feature Updates

Under the theme Era of Live, the company will be unveiling its latest Galaxy A devices on 10 April 2019 at 8 PM (GMT+8). The most anticipated smartphone, however, is the Galaxy A80. In addition, the Galaxy A80 also incorporates an in-display fingerprint sensor, a feature which probably the next big apparently for Android manufacturers.

The phone is expected to feature a triple camera setup with a 48MP f/2.0 main, 8MP f/2.4 ultra wide and ToF sensors. As time went by, Samsung needed to create something new and innovative to overcome stiff competition from the likes of Xiaomi and Huawei. The new Galaxy M30 has a similar design language as the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 phones except for the display panels.

Samsung has also mentioned that the A80 will have an "Intelligent Battery" that adapts to your routines, modifying battery use to ensure the device makes it through your day. And although the A80's cameras nearly assuredly won't be able to capture the same quality of images as the S10 family, it does give Samsung an opportunity to experiment in terms of design and packaging. The gimmick effectively repurposes the high-quality rear-facing cameras, ensuring you won't sacrifice quality when snapping selfies (most front-facing cameras are of lower quality than their rear-facing counterparts). Until now, we thought its Infinity-O display design, as seen on the S10e, S10 and S10 Plus, was the best way of reaching that goal - at least until it manages to seamlessly embed the selfie cameras beneath the screen, something it has previously revealed will take at least another two years to achieve.

The Samsung Galaxy A70, which forms part of the firm's mid-range A-Series lineup, continues to pack flagship specs throughout; there's a screen-embedded fingerprint scanner, an octa-core processor paired with 8GBR AM and 128GB internal storage, and a 3,500mAh battery that supports 25W super-fast charging like the incoming S10 5G and the Galaxy A70. If you want to grab a selfie, you'll have to engage the Galaxy A80's party piece, which is a motorised main camera that can pop up and flip around to face the front. This phone also doesn't feature stereo speakers, lacks support for microSD storage expansion, and tragically doesn't come with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor is able to deliver a smooth experience. On the topic of physical characteristics, Samsung says the Galaxy A80's smooth curves are designed for ease of use and holding comfortably for long periods. In a odd omission for Samsung, the A80 doesn't support microSD for storage expansion so 128GB is all you'll get in terms of storage capacity. The A70 comes in Black, Blue, Coral, and White.
