  • Donald Trump predicts he'll be re-elected in 2020 with increased majority

Schiff has launched a new Trump-Russia investigation to re-cover the territory covered in the probes done by his own committee, by the Senate Intelligence Committee, and by Trump-Russia special counsel Robert Mueller.

In a typically long, rambling, off-script speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday, Trump said Mueller has "perhaps the worst reputation of any human being I have ever seen".

Cohen is about to begin a three-year prison term and has stated he would not ask for or accept a pardon from Trump; however, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Cohen's lawyer raised the possibility of a pardon with attorneys for the president, following a raid of Cohen's properties last April by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Nadler, D-N.Y., said Trump was directly implicated in "various crimes" in public testimony before the House last week by Michael Cohen, his former lawyer and fixer.

Trump says that the CPAC people are probably thinking they're getting a lot more than they bargained for today.

Trump described the investigation as a "political fraud", but announced at the same time, his cooperation. "I'm in love, you're in love and we're all in love together", the president said.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said House Democrats have been unfairly targeting the Trump administration with numerous investigations in an attempt to lay the groundwork for impeachment. "We're going to go into his finances, we're going to check his deals, we're going to check" - These people are sick.

The letters have been sent by the House Judiciary Committee which has subpoena powers - that if the committee wants someone in the U.S.to testify before them then the individual/ entity representative is mandated to testify.

"So now we're waiting for a report, and we'll find out who we're dealing with", Trump said, adding: "We're waiting for a report by people that weren't elected". He went into a meeting and said, 'We're going to look into his finances.' I said, 'Where did that come from?' He always talked about Russian Federation, collusion with Russian Federation.

Trump also mocked the Southern accent of Sessions and criticized him for recusing himself from the Russian Federation probe.

He said their threatened Robert Mueller, the special counsel in charge of the investigation into Russian interference into the 2016 United States election.

Mocking the Democrats and their "collusion delusion", Trump blasted them for overreaching for launching a series of new investigations into him now that they are in the majority. "I think they have to be careful to lay out a persuasive case of why they're taking-undertaking each one of these investigations", he told Cabrera.

"Listen to exactly what he said".

Meanwhile, Justice Department regulations call for a special counsel to provide a final report to the attorney general, who decides what to tell Congress and make public. "My job", Nadler said, "is to protect the rule of law".

Pointing to the crowd in front of him, Trump joked that the people who had made it onto the convention center floor were "just better at real estate" than the others, a joke that drew loud cheers.

Investigators asked past and current administration officials, and even members of the Trump family, about the contents of meetings between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 7, 2017 in Hamburg, Germany during the G-20 summit; November 11, 2017 in Paris during the centennial celebration of the armistice ending WWI; July 16, 2018 in Helsinki, Finland during the Russia-U.S. summit; and November 30, 2018 in Buenos Ares, Argentina during that year's G-20 summit.

Nadler's committee would be first to initiate impeachment proceedings against Trump, but he said that no decisions have been reached on that.

"The president looked at the concerns and the president says those weren't concerns", McCarthy said.
