Apple to launch a surprise subscription service on March 25

Apple CEO Tim Cook plans to announce video-and news-subscription services that could open a new annual revenue stream that will deepen ties between iPhone users and the company.

In the late leak, they confirmed that the Apple News subscription service will come in at $9.99 per month. Apple is also reported to have spent United States dollars 1 billion on original content with names such as M Night Shyamalan, Oprah Winfrey, Damian Chazelle and several others.

"This is a pivotal shift for Apple and in our opinion, the biggest strategic move since the iPhone was unveiled in 2007", he said. However, there is news circulating that the Apple Stores and Apple Service Centers can solve the issue without the involvement of any party.

Said to feature the "biggest collection of British content available on any streaming service", it is expected to include high-profile programming from both the BBC and ITV, and could also include content from Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Apple is hosting the first event of this year on March 25, 2019, at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Cupertino.

More news: Disney-Fox merger could cause thousands of layoffs

Apple will hold its show time event tomorrow from the Steve Jobs theater at its Cupertino headquarters in California. AT&T is debuting another streaming service built around HBO.

As a result of those private meetings, Apple has also reportedly begun paying closer attention to apps that could potentially help as well as "threaten" the company.

To compete with Netflix or Amazon Prime, Apple has spent heavily on recruiting talent ranging from marquee names - Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams and Brie Larson - to more niche personalities - Josh Gad and Alan Yang. It's not exactly like there's a shortage of streaming services already out there, including Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Hulu (and in Canada, Crave), among others. Although the live broadcast won't officially start until 10am Pacific, Apple has "accidentally" shown a few images of the empty auditorium.

With Apple now releasing its new AirPods, which now offer a case that can recharge wirelessly, the AirPower pad is far more likely than a phone.

Since Apple bought Texture, a digital magazine subscription service previous year, it's been assumed that the company would adopt its model for a news product. Texture lets users subscribe to more than 200 magazines, and most of those will transfer to Apple's new service.
