James says in the documentary: "We were just like fully in love at that time".

Corey Feldman, who spent time with Michael Jackson when he was a child actor, is defending the late King of Pop against the devastating sexual abuse allegations in Leaving Neverland.

On Sunday night, after weeks of anticipation, HBO finally debuted the controversial doc Leaving Neverland.

Both were befriended by Jackson when they were boys after he showered them with gifts and attention.

Robson, 36, and Safechuck, 40, claim in the film they were groomed by the Thriller singer, and allege the abuse started when they were 7 and 10 years old. And then he started calling me Little One. "He helped me with my career, he helped me with my creativity, with all of those sorts of things".

In the documentary Robson recounted his experience to the camera, saying: "I was seven-years-old".

Safechuck said he was forced to run drills on how not to get caught.

Bus ads appeared in London, declaring, "Facts don't lie".

The first instalment of the two-part film Leaving Neverland aired on HBO in the USA last night, after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival. He also had an Indian fort with like tepees so we would lay down sleeping and have snacks and have sexual relations there.

The interview was recorded in front of an audience filled with hundreds of advocates and survivors of sexual abuse. While many feel that the allegations made in the documentary are valid, others think this is a smear campaign against Michael Jackson.

Robson and Safechuck testified as adults in court that they were not abused by Jackson.

"I know my brother", Jackie, 67, said. We should also probably toss most of Jackson's lesser hits, i.e. everything after Bad (and even some of that album's songs should probably to be torched), simply because it's not very good music.

Jackson's family have steadfastly denied the allegations and is suing HBO for $100 million.

A full statement from the family is posted here.

Feldman, who is in the process of exposing alleged pedophiles in Hollywood who he claims sexually abused him and others, concedes that the pair deserves to have its voice heard, but its versions of events don't match up with the Jackson he knew.

Jackson was acquitted of the charges.

The chronological, straight-forward style of Leaving Neverland feels like a self-conscious attempt to carefully strip the story of its lurid, tabloid qualities.

It will screen on free-to-air television over two nights starting Friday at 8.30pm.
