  • Game of Thrones Season 8 Teaser Has a Battle of Ice and Fire

The hit HBO series debuted the teaser during the 2018 Comic Con Experience in Brazil on Thursday (December 6).

Ice meets fire in the new trailer for the hugely anticipated eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones.

Earlier in the week Vladimir Furdik, the actor who plays the Night King, dished details about the show's sure-to-be epic final battle to the Hungarian website Sorozat Wiki. HBO said in June that it had given a pilot order to a prequel that will take place thousands of years before the events of the current series. The teaser starts with Ice capturing the Stark and Westeros.

The teaser kicks off with a map of Westeros with waves of ice and fire making their way towards each other.

The final season will premiere in April 2019 on HBO. The above video is bittersweet in a way because it's a sign that we are actually getting closer to the release of Season 8, however, absent from the video is any actual footage from the show's upcoming swan song.

Most notably, the lion of Lannister burns up, in an image that evokes the fiery "Loot Train Battle" last season.

In this teaser, it is quite interesting to see a dragon freeze over as they are usually the representation of fire.

Game of Thrones which brings the story from George R.R. Martin's novels about the quest to claim the Iron Throne alive, is known for the twists and turns, ruthless killing scenes, unexpected deaths all wrapped up with emotion and drama.
