However, the parrot, with an ability to copy words, was rehomed because of its foul language.

Rocco, who was taught to curse by a previous owner, is evidently loving his new home, interacting with Alexa up to 40 times a day and mastering countless household sounds.

Before his accidental online shopping habit, Rocco the African Gray parrot was put up for adoption by the National Animal WelfaTrust sanctuary because it feared his swearing would scare visitors, the Daily Mail reported on December 14.

Wischnewski also said Rocco will have Alexa play music.

A parrot has become best friends with his owner's Amazon Alexa by using the device to order some of his favourite snacks. Although this was the case, Rocco found a loving owner, Marion Wischnewski, a worker in the National Animal Welfare Trust.

The Sun reported that Rocco the African Grey has bought treats including ice cream, strawberries, watermelon, raisins and broccoli. She sometimes comes home to him playing romantic music through the Echo.

Wischnewski says, after catching the shopaholic, she now checks her online shopping list when she comes home to cancel any items purchased by the parrot. Marion said Rocco figured out how to order a variety of items on Alexa which ultimately increased her shopping bills.

Wischnewski added that this is not the first time Rocco has done something like this.
