Al Franken for resigning after being accused of sexual misconduct.

"Hello Minnesota - great state, I'm thrilled to be back in the homeland with some fantastic, patriots - you know that", said President Trump.

Trump spoke at a massive rally at the Rochester, Minn.

The three Republicans whose votes on Brett Kavanaugh will likely determine whether he's awarded a spot on the Supreme Court have become increasingly hard to pinpoint by media and protesters in the past 24 hours as their colleagues read the Federal Bureau of Investigation report and the confirmation vote inches closer.

Trump recalled the departure of "wacky" Al Franken from the Senate in connection with the appointment of incumbent Democratic Senator Tina Smith.

"The Democrats are truly the party of crime because open borders - that's what happens", said Trump. "He was gone so fast".

Franken resigned after several women accusing him of groping or forcibly kissing them. "So I won't mention it".

He said Democrats' tactics against Kavanaugh are motivating Republicans.

Trump tells a rally crowd of thousands Thursday evening in Rochester, Minnesota, that Democrats' "rage-fueled resistance is starting to backfire at a level nobody has ever seen before". Up 11, up 10, up 14. She chided Trump: "He said Tina Smith way too many times".
