Tesla stock dropped 10 percent Friday, a day after CEO Elon Musk smoked marijuana during a live interview with comedian Joe Rogan, despite previously criticizing the drug, and after a top executive left the company.

Tesla stock (NASDAQ:TSLA) is down 6% in Friday's intraday amid reports that the company lost two more executives, with Chief Accounting Officer David H. Morton, Jr. leaving his post after just two months and Chief People Officer Gabrielle Toledano confirming that she would not be coming back from a leave.

Aside from the weed, Musk also touted a couple weapons on the show's set, including a flamethrower and a Katana that Rogan claims is hundreds of years old.

In a remarkable coincidence, Musk's appearance was followed nearly immediately by news that two of Tesla's top execs are stepping down. This reportedly has led to an SEC investigation. When Rogan pulled out what he described as a joint comprised of tobacco and marijuana, Musk asked, "I mean, it's legal, right?"

Musk said he had come up with preliminary designs for a supersonic, electric plane that would take off and land vertically.

The company announced the departure in a regulatory filing. The US Securities and Exchange Commission subpoenaed Musk to explain the tweet.

The tech entrepreneur continued by assuring viewers that he is "not a regular smoker of weed", since it's not "very good for productivity".

Soon after, Musk changed his mind and said he decided the company would remain public.

Mr. Musk asked before taking a hit.

The billionaire entrepreneur addressed his tumultuous year in an emotional interview with The New York Times in August, in which he admitted he was experiencing the "most hard and painful year" of his career.

The billionaire spent two and a half hours on a podcast discussing everything from artificial intelligence and its impact on humankind to flamethrowers and social media.

Along with his electric vehicle company, Musk heads up space exploration firm Space X, tunnel construction firm The Boring Company, and Neuralink, which works on augmenting human brains with artificial intelligence.
