The 2009 champion Magdalena Rybarikova defeated good friend Barbora Strycova in straight sets to reach her second final, at the Nature Valley Classic.

The result earned Kvitova her 36th victory of the year, more than any other player on the tour after overtaking the previous leader, top-ranked Simona Halep. "I really managed to focus and play well", Buzarnescu said after the match. She's a great player, unbelievable on grass.

"I knew it was going to be a tough match, because she's such a tricky player and she's amazingly talented", Rybarikova, who reached the Wimbledon semi-finals a year ago, said on-court after the match.

Rybarikova opened the match in a stronger fashion, breaking at love in game three for a 3-1 lead but Petra converted her fifth break point in game six to level the score at 3-3.

Kvitova has yet to drop a set this week, and she continued her torrid progress against the Romanian, needing just over 70 minutes to notch the 6-3, 6-2 victory.

As Ukrainian tennis player did not try to recoup, she did not succeed. But if she is, then for me it's a great tournament.

"Maybe she was the favorite because she beat me before, and I think it was a very good match and we had some fun on the court". "We played over two hours, so it was a great final to watch I think, I hope".

"I am always expected to win, so it is never easy", Kvitova said. During practice, we played here today, but during the match, it's going to be something totally different. Kvitova looked towards that big semifinal and the advantages that Buzarnescu can have on a grass court herself.

Rybarikova has impressed with her agility, variety and touch on the grass, and despite an early exit at Nottingham, she has certainly found her feet here. "When I was practicing before coming here, I couldn't really imagine to be here all week". I remember our last meeting was in New Haven in a final as well. "This is an wonderful result for me". Kvitova has generally had the measure of Rybarikova, winning five of these matches.
