A Michigan high school unveiled its 31st annual singing Christmas tree, a 67-foot tall structure holding 240 of the school’s 275 singers.

The Mona Shores High School Singing Christmas Tree at Muskegon’s Frauenthal Theater held its inaugural concert of the year Dec. 3 with 240 high school singers packing 15 tiers of the tree, which was rebuilt this year with a new structure and LED lightning.

The singer at the top of the tree, dubbed the “tree angel,” is a senior specially selected by the choir’s director each year. The choir said two seniors were chosen this year to rotate the position.

The choir said this year’s version of the tree features more than 25,000 lights and more than 5,000 feet of greenery specially imported from Germany. The school boasts its 67-foot-tall singing Christmas tree is the tallest of its kind in the world.
